Glasgow Cross.......come up & see us some time.

So, Tatty Bon live on Parnie St, nestled in the heart of Glasgow's historic Glasgow Cross area, the oldest part of  Glasgow City. Yip, that's right baby, here's where it all started!!
We have a higher concentration of independent business that anywhere else in Glasgow, offering a wide & varied choice of retail, entertainment & dinning. And yet so often all I hear from people is 'I'm never down that end of town'.
So I can't help but think, 'why not'?

When you look at it, we've got it covered.
Retail therapy- of course you have your favorite Tatty Bon, right round the corner there's more vintage goodness in The City retro clothing & of course the iconic Mr Ben right down the street. To unleash your inner goth there's Cyber, which also offers a beautiful range of 50's inspired clothing.
Not only is there all these, there's even the wedding shop if your feeling a little formal....

But if clothing isn't your thing, not to worry there's always toys, & who doesn't like toys right? A1 Comics is home to some awesome, action figure, collectibles figure, comics, you name it! The Dragon & George offers roll-playing & board games & Collectables has a range of vintage football jerseys & programmes as well as a selection of whiskeys appparently...

For the musos among  you - Well you kinda spoiled for choice! If your a player you have Drum CentralStrung Out GuitarsGuitarGuitar & GG digital. If your looking for band practice there's Creation Studios as well as the practice rooms on Osbourne St. If it's gigs your looking for 13th Note Cafe has bands on most nights & participates in music & comedy festivals.
Buying music? The get stuck into Record Fayre on Chisolm St. It's been there for about 20 years & offers vinyl, CD'S trinkets, memorabila & even band baby grows!

Looking for a hobby - If the musical aspect isn't your thing don't worry, help is at hand. Make It Glasgow is a cafe/workshop/meeting area that'll have you crafting in no time! Not only are there sewing machines & overlockers to hire, there's classes aplenty. Sewing sock monkeys, knitting.... all kinds of classes & workshops on the go with people of all skill levels welcome.

Crafting may not be your thing, so why not try photography? Merchant City Cameras is one of the oldest business in the area (formally Quiggs of Glasgw). They'll offer help & friendly advice, regardless of weather your an accomplished photographer or someone just starting out.

We also have 2 of Glasgow's oldest studio's for body adornment! Terry's Tattoos has been there forever & Glasgow Piercing Studio will be more than happy to supply you with beautiful body piercings...
& if that's not you thing, there's always Glasgrow  ;)

If none of this suits, but you've got great ideas & want to start a business of your own you could always try IcoIco Creative. They'll provide you with business advice all the while displaying wares from their sister store Lupe Go Lightly.

Art? - Again, your spoiled for choice. Art Exposure Gallery is one of the oldest & most accomplished galleries out there! Gallery 23 is just nest door & Trongate-103 is a whole buliding dedicated to art, from photography to sculpture.

Finally, entertainment - Well, where to start. There's more than a fair selection of cafes & restaurants, including Italian (Esca & E2), Russian and vegetarian & vegan  in 13th Note & Mono, both of which are also pubs, yay....
There is also the Tron Theater, which not only has a bar area, but also home to contemporary theater productions as well as belting Pantos! In addition to that, it's a fine example of Glasgow architecture...
